YoPro Mobile is excited to announce that The Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama has officially partnered with the Young Professionals of Mobile as our primary charitable outreach organization! Through these combined forces, YoPro Mobile & Salvation Army look to build on our local community through a number of great charitable events & volunteer opportunities! MISSION: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.


Red Shield Shelter – Available to men who are seeking short and medium-term shelter. The men receive two meals a day, showers, laundry, and the opportunity to receive social, emotional and spiritual guidance.

Rehabilitation Programs

Dauphin Way Lodge – A state certified Substance Use Treatment program providing residential care. Clients have access to a variety of multi-level treatment interventions addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of each client.

CrossRoads – A Christian based Residential Recovery program focused on work therapy and overcoming addictions. Clients receive housing, nourishing meals, medical care, group therapy, and skilled counseling.

The Family Haven – Provides emergency housing for families who are without a home. Families stay an average of three months and are provided food, shelter, basic material needs, and a safe place for families in crisis to begin to heal.

Pathway of Hope – Provides services to families striving to break free of intergenerational poverty. We work with families wanting to better their situation. As families achieve increasing stability, their degree of hope about their futures also increases serving as motivation along their journey to self-sufficiency.

Our Families in Need– A Financial Assistance Program that provides emergency financial relief to families in need. These funds help with medication, medical co-pays, clothing, furniture, and transportation.

Seasonal Programs

Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner– Traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are served to hungry individuals each year.

Angel Tree Program– To help make the holidays brighter for the less-fortunate each Christmas season.

Disaster Response Services – Providing immediate relief for victims and emergency personnel during natural or manmade disasters.


is community worship and service center. Our goal is to provide help, hope, and a home to those who seek our services. We offer worship services, Sunday School, Bible Study along with:

Nursing Home, Hospital, & Home Visits – Through a program called League of Mercy, men, women, and young people spend countless hours making personal visits and conducting services, to raise the spirits of lonely and sick people throughout the year.

Summer Camp – The Salvation Army provides an opportunity for low-income, at-risk children from the coastal Alabama area to enjoy a summer camping experience that is fun, educational and inspirational.

Children’s Character Building Programs – activities from sports teams and outdoor exploration, to art and music classes, with a goal to send today’s kids off into the world with strong values, skills, and confidence as they grow into adulthood.

Women’s Ministry – The Salvation Army Women’s Ministries encompass opportunities for all women where they are valued, encouraged, equipped, and invited to “catch the joy” through Christian faith and fellowship.

Club 316 (gym time and homework help) – Club 316 combines all of The Salvation Army’s badge–earning youth programs (Sunbeams, Girl Guards, and Adventure Corps) into one group meeting.

SMART (music & arts program) – The Salvation Army School of Music and Arts is an intensive program for young people wishing to develop and further their musical talents.

Food Pantry – Our Food Assistance program is designed to provide food to individuals, families, and the homeless communities who have expressed a need for food.
